In 2005 we were accredited with the ‘Healthy Schools Award’ and in 2006 received the National Active and Sports Mark.

These awards demonstrate our commitment towards encouraging our children to participate in healthy lifestyle; we want our children to develop an understanding that will stay with them through their lives.

Green Lane has a no smoking policy in operation both in the school playground and in the school building. Parents and other visitors are asked to extinguish their cigarettes before entering the school grounds.
